Consider a Waiting Period

Some jurisdictions require “waiting” or “soak” periods in their ordinances, which prohibit alarm companies from requesting dispatch for a short period of time after installation of an alarm system.

This gives the alarm users a chance to get used to their systems and make mistakes, before it costs public safety and the user any money.
